This is a fully automatic control system (developed in NI LabVIEW) for Continuous Rotation Torque Tester for Testing of heavy-duty drills and other tools. The Test Machine was a part of a network of instruments coming from different vendors and communicating disparately. The challenge was not only adjusting precise torques, speeds, time of tests etc. but also syncing with the network.
Later, we duplicated this project for the client’s another 2 installations & adapted the network to be monitored and controlled centrally on a Windows embedded based console connected through Ethernet.
